I've had an extra long day today. My day started at five a.m. when my sleep was brought to an abrupt hault for no reason at all. Then, on top of waking up at five a.m. and not having to be up until nine, I wasn't even able to go back to sleep. Hence, I've been having a hard time staying away today. For a while, I was completely wired off of Pepsi and Starbucks, but that wore off around four or so. I thought about skipping my class but I realized that today was one of the "don't miss" days so I went, and slept threw it all. I woke up in time just to see the end of the video, in which I have to write a paper for, so I do kind of have some idea as to what the objective of the video was. Thank goodness I have D.B. Dr. Barnes becuase she's always talking about how women are hypersexed, especially African-American's and the various sterotypes that takes place, etc. The ending of the video was very informative about this very same topic. The video suggested that we as American's tend to be passive as to what the media allows to go into print, and we wonder why teenage sex is on a high when they over rate sex and hypersex women and things; hence, sex sells. It was very interesting. I think that I can change and start with myself by not allowing myself to be subjected to such stigmatisms placed by society for me to go through. What about you?
