What's Going On - Artist Against Aids WorldWide
...written on Wednesday, Dec. 01, 2004, @ 11:11 AM
Today is National AIDS Day and I think that it is important to stress the gravity of the situation. There are so many individuals, especially in the black community, who are HIV positive and are unaware that they are walking around here infecting others. Hence, it is vital that we all protect ourselves. Don't become a victom to this disease by giving in to being careless. I know that it's very easily to do, and I am aware that some of you may trust your partners but you cannot trust everyone that he or she has been with. Even if you do get tested on a regular, AIDS can go SEVEN years without being detected. Therefore, you cannot and should not dismiss these facts without very much thought because TWO OUT OF THREE women infected are African American women ranged ages 25-34 years old. This is a very serious situation you all, and tonight at nine p.m. on BET, there is a movie showing called, Walking On Sunshine. I would encourage for you all to tune in, and see the importance of condoms. It might just save your life.
